Jenny Hagel didn’t know she won an Emmy | Page Six Radio #shorts
you buried the lead last time you were here because I and I I say this with love. Whenever someone remotely has an award, it is the first thing in their bio, they’ll be like, “Oh, um can you just refer to me as and I and shout out to them.” They’re like, “Hey, can you refer to me as like uh like a Stop and Shop Rewards member, happily to do it, but you are an Olympic Emmy award winner.” I do. I have a sports Emmy, but I don’t lead with it because I’m the least athletic person you’ll ever meet. I do have an inhaler in my bag right now. Uh, and I just I won this sports Emmy because I was a producer on some on for some online content at the Olympics. The entire Olympics digital team won a sports Emmy for their coverage that year. And then I got an email that said, “Let us know if you want to purchase the Emmy statue.” Yeah. Let us know. And then this is where you buy it. And I went to the person who organized the gig again and said, “Hey, I think there was a mistake. I got this email by mistake.” Oh. You didn’t even know you were nominated. No. And then they were like, “No, you were a producer on this. We we won a sports Emmy. So go order. if you want to order your Emmy, click here. And I was like, what? And then I was like, well, obviously I’m not going to. It was It’s like hundreds of dollars. They’re really They’re really expensive. And I was like, I’m not going to do that. That’s crazy. Because I was I mean, a very small part of a large team. I was like, that’s weird. And also, it’s expensive. And that’s kind of gross to be like, I’m going to pay hundreds of dollars for this trophy. And then all of my friends were laughing so hard that I had a sports Emmy of all pe like anytime I do anything like if I run to catch the subway cuz I think it’s people are like, okay, sports Emmy. So I was like at some point I was like it’s worth it to have this joke in my house 100%. And honestly the Emmy statue really is a sports girl because she’s kind of basketball basically. Basically. Yeah. It’s next to a pile of folded laundry. Okay. Which sports Emmy folded that laundry. Folded it. That’s upper body strength. Thank you. [Music]
