Taylor Swift addresses ‘shockingly offensive’ theory she’ll quit music after marrying Travis Kelce

Taylor, don’t tell me this is your last album. What? No, I just During a new interview on BBC Radio 2, Taylor Swift was asked about a bizarre idea floating around the fandom. That her brand new album, The Life of a Showgirl, might be her last because she’s marrying Travis Kelce. Yeah, you heard that right. Apparently, some fans think wedding bells mean farewell tours. I just saw some fans going, “Well, she’s going to get married and then she’s going to have children and then she’s going to be the last album.” a shockingly offensive thing to say. Absolutely. The 14time Grammy winner made it clear marriage isn’t some curtain call for her career. She said it’s not why people get married so they can quit their job. Taylor went on to gush about her fianceé, Kansas City Chief star Travis Kelce, saying he loves how fulfilled she feels by her art. That’s the coolest thing about Tra is like he’s so he is so passionate about what he does that me being passionate about what I do it it connects us. So no folks, there’s no point in time where Travis is going to say, “Hey babe, maybe stop making music.” In fact, Taylor says they bond over their shared dedication, even though one performs in cleats and the other in stilettos. Honestly, that’s kind of adorable and peak showmance goals. Taylor’s latest album, The Life of a Showgirl, is filled with love songs clearly inspired by Travis, including Opalite, Honey, and yes, the very steamy track wood. Professionally, she’s thriving. Personally, she’s glowing. After dating since the summer of 2023, Taylor and Travis got engaged in August, announcing the news in a joint Instagram post. The romantic proposal, it happened in a garden two weeks before they shared it with the world. So, to sum it up, Taylor’s not quitting music. She’s not hanging up her mic for a wedding ring. If anything, she’s stepping into her next era, stronger, louder, and more in love than ever. Because when it comes to Taylor Swift, the show and the showgirl always go on.

Taylor Swift shut down the “shockingly offensive” fan theory that she will stop making music after “The Life of a Showgirl” because she is marrying Travis Kelce.

During a Monday appearance on “BBC Radio 2,” host Scott Mills asked the singer about the speculation.

“Don’t tell me this is your last album?” Mills asked, prompting her to say, “What? No.”

Mills then explained, “I just saw some fans going, ‘Well, she’s going to get married, and then she’s going to have children and [it’s going to be her last album].’”

The “Fate of Ophelia” singer, 35, responded, “That’s a shockingly offensive thing to say. It’s not why people get married, so they can quit their job.

“It’s like, I love the person that I am with because he loves what I do, and he loves how much I am fulfilled by making art and making music,” she continued.
