Dolly Parton’s loved ones are asking for support as the beloved music icon faces health challenges. Dolly’s sister, Freda Parton, shared a concerning post about the singer’s well-being, writing on Facebook October 7th that she’d been quote up all night praying for her and hopes others will do the same. Many of you know she hasn’t been feeling her best lately. I truly believe in the power of prayer and I have been led to ask all of the world that loves her to be prayer warriors and pray with me. Freda’s message read before ending on a hopeful note, adding, “She’s strong, she’s loved, and with all the prayers being lifted for her, I know in my heart she’s going to be just fine. Godspeed, my Dolly, we all love you.” The latest development comes more than a week after Dolly announced she was postponing her upcoming Las Vegas residency, sharing on Instagram that doctors have recommended quote a few procedures, which she joked are part of her 100,000mi checkup, adding that she needs time to recover and get show ready before taking the stage again. Dolly has been navigating emotional obstacles in recent months as well following the passing of husband Carl Dean in March to whom she was married for nearly 60 years. I I get very emotional when people bring it up, but yeah, we were together 60 years. I’ve loved him since I was 18 years old. And uh it’s a big adjustment just trying to change patterns and habits and uh I’ll do fine and I’m I’m very involved in my work and that’s been the best thing that could happen to me. But I’ll I’ll always miss him of course.
