Dolly Parton SPEAKS OUT Amid Health Concerns: ‘I Ain’t Dead Yet’

Everybody thinks that I am sicker than I am. Do I look sick to you? Dolly Parton is giving fans the reassurance they were hoping for. The music icon spoke out amid health concerns that went into overdrive following a Facebook post from her sister Freda Parton in which she said she had been quote up all night praying for Dolly. Though the singer’s rep did confirm to the Las Vegas Review Journal that Dolly is undergoing treatment for kidney stones. They also noted that the frenzy surrounding Dolly’s well-being had been blown out of proportion. Dolly herself explained in a new Instagram video on October 8th that she’s quote okay, but having some problems that are nothing major, and she wanted to put everybody’s mind at ease once and for all. I wanted to put everybody’s mind at ease. Those of you that seem to be real concerned, which I appreciate, and I appreciate your prayers because I’m a person of faith. I can always use the prayers for anything and everything, but I want you to know that I’m okay. The 79year-old also poked fun at a computerenerated image that circulated online showing pal Reeba McIntyre bidding Dolly a final farewell. A moment which Dolly joked she doesn’t expect to unfold in reality. Did you see that those that AI picture of Reeba and me? Oh lordy. I mean, they had rebad my deathbed and we both looked like we need to be buried, but but I thought, “Oh my lord.” But if if I was really dying, I don’t think Reeba would be the one at my deathbed. She would might come visit me earlier. But anyway, uh there just a lot of rumors flying around, but I figured if you heard it from me, you’d know that I was okay. Dolly’s message came hours after an update from Freda clarifying that she hadn’t meant to cause such a stir with her original post. She’s been a little under the weather and I simply asked for prayers because I believe so strongly in the power of prayer. She wrote in part on Facebook. The latest development follows Dolly announcing a week earlier that she was postponing her upcoming Las Vegas residency, sharing on Instagram that doctors have recommended quote a few procedures, which she joked are part of her 100,000mi checkup, adding that she needs time to recover and get show ready before taking the stage again. In her new video, the legend went on to thank well-wishers for sending their love. I’m not ready to die yet. I don’t think God is through with me and I ain’t done working.
