Seth Meyers on Thursday declared that President Donald Trump is “rapidly outpacing” predecessor Joe Biden in the “brain-not-work-good department” by highlighting a bonkers brag that he warned of Osama bin Laden ahead of the 9/11 attacks.
The Late Night host — after mocking ex-New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani for claiming on Fox News that doctors told him Biden showed signs of dementia in 2020 — tossed to “a new banger” from the current president, who let loose with the false claim on Sunday that he suggested bin Laden should be killed in a 2000 book.
“I said one year before to Pete Hegseth, I said one year before — where’s Pete? In the book, I wrote — whatever the hell the title, I can’t tell you but I can tell you there’s a page in there devoted to the fact that I saw somebody named Osama bin Laden and I didn’t like it and you’ve got to take care of him,” said Trump in remarks at a U.S. Navy celebration on Sunday. “They didn’t do it. A year later, he blew up the World Trade Center so we got to take a little credit, because nobody else is going to give it to me.”

“Hey, Rudy, show this clip to your doctors!” quipped Meyers of the president, who has fueled more questions about his cognitive ability. “There are like nine different dementia symptoms in that one clip. Finding the dementia in that clip is like finding Waldo in a book called, Oops! All Waldos.”
