Mercury’s ‘X-factor’ fans enter the building for WNBA Finals

Phoenix Mercury’s “X-factor” fans head into the arena for Game 3 of the 2025 WNBA Finals against the Las Vegas Aces at Mortgage Matchup Center.

There’s high-octane energy among the X-Factor fans and celebrities for the WNBA Finals Game 4 between the Phoenix Mercury and Las Vegas Aces at the Mortgage Matchup Center on Oct. 10.

The arena looked like a purple palace, filled with “Mercury vs. Everybody” t-shirts on the seats for fans. The slogan is the Mercury’s theme for Game 4, as they’re on the brink of playoff elimination and avoid the franchise’s first sweep after five previous trips to the Finals.

Here are the celebrities who were seen by The Arizona Republic at Game 4.

Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo: The three-time NBA All-Star came to see his girlfriend, A’ja Wilson, rooting for her to win her third title in four years with the Aces. On Sept. 22, Adebayo presented Wilson with her league record fourth MVP award at the Aces’ practice facility during the playoffs’ first round.

Floyd Mayweather, Las Vegas Raiders/Aces owner Mark Davis: The legendary boxer Mayweather was seen talking with Davis courtside next to the Aces’ bench during the pregame warmups. Mayweather has made his second appearance at the Mortgage Matchup Center during this postseason. He attended the Mercury’s Game 3 win over the Minnesota Lynx during the semifinals.

Phoenix mayor Kate Gallego: She’s been a longtime supporter of the Suns and Mercury. She was seen courtside next to the Aces bench before the game’s tip-off.
