Interview with Rose Byrne on her new movie with Conan O’Brien

Strap yourself in. It’s a real ride. Roseburn is in almost every scene in her latest film, If I Had Legs, I’d kick you. She plays a wife and mom who’s dealing with her daughter’s mystery illness, an absentee husband, and what looks to be a contentious relationship with her therapist, played by Conan O’Brien. I had another patient coming. So, wait, now what about the 10-minute warning? Yeah, I just wasn’t paying attention. You didn’t respond to the email that I sent you about my dream. I don’t respond to my client’s dream emails. We had a lot of fun and he was uh very respectful and um very serious. Very serious, but you know, still funny. After making its debut at Sundance, the film has been making the festival rounds. Vern won the Silver Bear Award for her best leading performance at the Berlin Film Festival. And the film got lots of attention at the New York Film Festival. [Music] I can see you now. I’m hoping they’ll enjoy it. They’ll be moved by it. I think it’s when I I was really moved by the script. So, I hope that, you know, that’s what they get from the end product. I’m supposed to know how to fix her. What is it you think it’s your job to fix? I was thrilled with the movie. I love it. It’s so cool raw and funny and a very doesn’t pull any punches, but it’s incredibly compelling and very entertaining.
