WASHINGTON (TNND) — Attorney General Pam Bondi over the weekend asked Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem if they should re-create Saturday Night Live’s interpretation of them while visiting Chicago.

“.@Sec_Noem, should we recreate this picture in Chicago?” Bondi wrote on the social media platform X. “Loving Amy Poehler!”

Over the weekend during SNL’s cold open, actresses Amy Poehler and Tina Fey impersonated Bondi and Noem during a skit.

Poehler, who impersonated Bondi, made jokes about being grilled at a recent Senate hearing the handling of the Epstein files.

“I’m not going to discuss my private conversations with the president,” Poehler said during the cold open. “I’m not telling you who fell asleep in the middle of a sentence, or who kept calling me Ivanka while patting his lap.”

She also jokes about Trump being implicated in the Epstein files to the point where it was repetitive.

Fey portrayed Noem holding an assault rifle while wearing a DHS hat.

The DHS responded to SNL on X, thanking the show for free advertising.

“Thanks for the free advertisement @NBCSNL,” the DHS wrote. “Get Criminals Out. Make History. Save America. JOIN.ICE.GOV.”

President Donald Trump recently sent the National Guard to Chicago to help crack down on crime and guard Immigration and Customs Enforcement facilities.

ICE raids have also escalated in the city, according to PBS.
