This continued conceit that “Harry is so popular” is just not backed-up by data or reality. Beatrice, Eugenie, Camilla and Lady Louise (let alone Edward, Sophie, Charles etc.) all have similar or higher approval ratings to Harry in the UK. Even among 18-24s in the UK, Charles does better, let alone the actual more popular members (we know who they are).
It’s not 2016, anymore. Heck, it’s not even 2020. Media and reporters are somehow still acting like we’re still all the way back then when it comes to discussing Harry.
The fact that the relentless lobbying and planting of stories, drama, narratives etc. by Harry’s highly paid PR team is what keeps Harry blanketed in the press (giving the illusion of “popularity”)… also not discussed.
Never mind that Harry has already been coming and going as he pleases to the UK (even Meghan was on a visit to the UK when QE2 passed), so this repeated “control” narrative is again… hogwash unsupported by reality or facts. It’s all very conspiratorial and PR-focused (as ever). Harry has been visiting the UK between 2 to 5 times a year since 2021. His own PR recently briefed that it’s the pace of visits he wants to maintain, so nothing would change. It’s entirely reasonable to be fed up with his relentless harassment and attempts to maliciously derail things, as well as being fed up with the PR he puts out villainizing people for not giving him what he wants (or simply to make himself look better at the expense of others). The “they’re jealous!!” narrative was a PR narrative that was even used in the press to force an invite to Pippa’s wedding – it’s a typical intimidation tactic to get the other side to submit. Not desiring to have anything to do with Harry because of his chaos and drama is entirely normal.
The truth of the matter is that the media absolutely love the drama and chaos Harry provides, including the incessant briefings and material for stories, which is why his nonsense keeps being indulged and stenographied by said media. There is absolutely no reason for him to stil have the level of public profile he does, other than the fact he pays a boatload of money to keep egotistically cultivating such a profile. Truly, it’s a case of absolutely anything to keep his name in the headlines! Anything. An addiction to fame and notoriety.
