Princess Beatrice stepped out for a date night alongside husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi on October 13.
The couple—parents to three children—attended the 2025 Art of Wishes Gala in London, Beatrice wearing a brand beloved by not just her but also Kate Middleton.
The royal’s dress from The Vampire’s Wife was one of many times she’s worn the label in recent years, including originally wearing the same black, rose-adorned dress in 2019 for a different gala event.
Anyone with a newborn at home knows it can be difficult to get out for a date night, but Princess Beatrice and husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi made time for just that last night, attending a glamorous charity gala in London.
On October 13, the couple—who are parents of 10-month-old Athena, 4-year-old Sienna, and 9-year-old Wolfie—were guests at the 2025 Art of Wishes Gala, Beatrice wearing one of her favorite designers (which has also been worn, memorably, by Kate Middleton). The royal wore a sparkly black gown by The Vampire’s Wife featuring a high neck, quarter-length sleeves with lace trimmings, and red rose designs throughout. She accessorized with a thin black belt, a black snakeskin-style clutch, and black Tabitha Simmons heels and wore her famous red hair in soft curls for the event at the Chancery Rosewood Hotel.

Beatrice’s appearance on Monday comes on the heels of her attendance at the New York wedding of her longtime friend, James Green, who married on Long Island; for that occasion, the eldest daughter of the Duke and Duchess of York wore The Vampire’s Wife again, that time a sparkling navy gown with puff-sleeved shoulders, a ruffled skirt, and gothic-inspired layering towards the hem, per Hello!. The metallic navy dress seems to be a favorite of Beatrice’s, as she wore it in 2023 to an event alongside her mother, Sarah Ferguson, and again this past July while attending birthday celebrations for her friend Emma Pilkington.

Beatrice has long been a fan of The Vampire’s Wife, known for its metallics and jewel tones. Founded by model-turned-designer Susie Cave in 2014, it shuttered for good in March 2025. Beatrice wasn’t the only royal that was a fan of the brand’s designs—the Princess of Wales wore a floor-length pink gown by The Vampire’s Wife while visiting Belize in March 2022, and two years prior wore an emerald metallic midi dress while visiting Ireland in March 2020. Vogue called the emerald gown a “major moment in royal dressing,” and it was immortalized in an official portrait painted by Jamie Coreth that was unveiled in June 2022.

Beatrice, who turned 37 years old in August, has had a big year in 2025, which began with the birth of daughter Athena in January, who arrived several weeks premature. Beatrice opened up about her birth in a vulnerable British Vogue essay, writing, “Nothing quite prepares you for the moment when you realize your baby is going to arrive early. There’s so little control. Will she arrive healthy? Will there be complications? How will you juggle the rest of family life while trying to keep a tiny human safe and well?” (Athena, now 10 months old, is thriving.)

Beatrice’s dress on Monday night might have deeper symbolism than meets the eye—it is decorated with wild roses, which Tatler points out could be “a nod to the symbol of Beatrice’s family, the York clan.” The outlet reported that Beatrice previously wore that exact dress in 2019, at another gala—that one the GBx Global Gala.
