DWTS ' Jen Affleck's Husband Asks for "Prayers" Amid Her Recent Illness

Jen Affleck’s Dancing With the Stars journey has hit a setback.

Her husband Zac Affleck shared that the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star has been unable to rehearse with pro Jan Ravnik for Oct. 14’s Dedication Night show amid a recent illness.

“This week she has been so sick,” Zac wrote on TikTok on Oct. 13. “She hasn’t been able to practice, and has been stuck in bed most of the week.”

“Call it chance or God, but her Mom has been in town this week to make her homemade meals and help take care of her,” Zac continued. “Jen would never ask but she really needs all the help and prayers she can get!”

Indeed, for her Dedication Night show, Jen has been set to honor her mom Maria as well as her and Zac’s kids Nora, 3, Lucas, 2, and Penelope, 3 months, with a Viennese Waltz to Lauren Daigle’s song “Rescue.”

But during Disney night, where she and Jan performed a jazz routine to the Aladdin track “Friend Like Me,” she took a moment to give her husband of six years a sweet shoutout.

“Appreciation post for this guy,” Jen wrote on her Instagram on Oct. 7. “He’s the one who checks that l’ve actually eaten breakfast, who reminds me to sleep and makes sure I get real rest. What you don’t see are all the quiet ways he keeps us going-cooking, cleaning, kid duty, and those late-night shifts with Penny.”

She added, “This journey truly wouldn’t be possible without him, and for that, I am forever grateful.”

Jen is not the only cast member feeling under the weather as of late. Emma Slater revealed Oct. 13 that partner Andy Richter has also “been sick and in bed this week.” Still, as the pro gushed of the comedian was “feeling a lot better” and was “determined to give it his all.”

The remaining 10 Dancing With the Stars contestants are set to return to the ballroom Oct. 14 for Dedication Night, during which they will perform a dance for their loved ones.
