Royals Recap: Meghan Markle invited herself to Paris Fashion Week, Balenciaga designer says

Meghan Markle’s recent travels are the gift that keeps on giving. At least for those of us who are interested in a little royal, former royal gossip. For those of you who are not aware, Megan made a surprise appearance at Balenciaga’s Paris Fashion Week show just a few weeks ago, where she was seen warmly embracing the brand’s newest designer. Many people assumed that Megan was among the lucky few invited guests who had been asked to attend the show and sit front row. However, it turns out that was not the case. In fact, Balenciaga’s creative head recently revealed that Megan actually invited herself to his show. Now, he said that it was all done in a very amiable way that he and Megan met a few years ago and they had been texting back and forth when Megan said that she would love the opportunity to stop by. And speaking of Megan inviting herself to multiple different places, let’s move on to her and Prince Harry’s recent trip to New York City where they were honored as humanitarians of the year at Project Healthy Minds annual World Mental Health Day gala. Harry and Megan made a red carpet appearance at the event and then made a speech on stage while they were accepting their honor. However, while the public saw the two of them appearing on red carpets and attending different events, it turns out that they got up to a lot more than we were all privy to, at least according to Megan’s Instagram account. After taking to the stage to warn about the dangers of social media, particularly among young people, Megan did what any prolific Instagram user would do by posting a video montage of her trip to the Big Apple. Now, she and Harry appear to have stayed in a private residence during their time in New York. And Megan wasted no time in showcasing the many different outfits, clothes, shoes, makeup, pretty much everything that had been laid out for her in perfect order while she was staying here. The two of them also had the opportunity to visit some friends while they were in the city, including activist Gloria Steiner, whom Megan paid a visit to while she and Harry were here. Now, according to realtor.com, that visit took place at Gloria’s iconic New York City Brownstone, where Megan and the activist could be seen sharing a quick, cozy snuggle on Gloria’s armchair. Moving on, Megan also had the opportunity to enjoy a classic New York City slice before moving on to yet another event, this time in Washington DC. While there, Megan opened up about the future of her rather divisive Netflix show with Love Megan. She revealed that viewers and fans can expect a holiday special of the series, but she stopped short of confirming whether or not there will be a season 3. In fact, Megan hinted somewhat ironically that the show may actually turn to a more social media friendly format, explaining that they are investigating how they can bottle down 30 minutes worth of footage into short 2minute clips. She also admitted that they’re exploring new ways that the show or its social media iteration can better bolster the performance of her personal lifestyle brand as ever. So part of what we’re testing out now is it’s amazing to be able to sit and watch a show for 30 minutes, but how can I give you a recipe in 2 minutes and where can I share that with you and how that continues to grow as ever? So exploring all the options of what it could look like. So, who knows? While Megan is crowing about the dangers and risks of social media, it looks like she’s also trying to carve out a role for herself as a future influencer. Perhaps we’ll be seeing Spawn Con from the Duchess of Sussex within a matter of weeks. Now, should Megan have an opportunity to take a break from Instagram posting, some people are speculating that we could see her taking up a role on a rather more fashionforward publication, namely American Vogue. During her trip to New York, Megan was actually seen enjoying a quick get together with the newly appointed editor of the publication, Khloe Mal. Megan and Khloe were spotted by a fan who snapped a sneaky photo while they were enjoying what appeared to be a lovely afternoon tea at the very upscale Whippy Hotel in Manhattan. As it stands, we have no clue as to what the two women are talking about, but plenty of fans have already put their money on Megan appearing on the cover of Vogue within a matter of months. Could she snag the oh so iconic September issue? Or will she use a holiday cover in order to promote her with Love Megan holiday special? As for now, we’re just going to have to wait and see. But I guarantee you when the news breaks, you’ll find it on Megan’s Instagram account.
