Perhaps. Or maybe they would use the time off as an opportunity to spend time together as a family. According to reports, they spent the February half-term on the exclusive island of Mustique for a week of relaxation. A favourite destination among the royals for its extensive privacy (including a no-fly zone and a host of secluded villas). The Prince and Princess of Wales are frequent guests on the island, first arriving in 2008, before they were married.
The family are known to be big fans of Villa Antilles, having rented the light and airy holiday home back in 2019. Built three years prior by William’s friend, the property developer Andrew Dunn, the villa boasts a jacuzzi, a 60ft infinity pool, a drinks bar, and a private jeep for the family to use at their leisure. At the time, the price for a week sat at £27,000, but nowadays it will set you back £33,000 during high season, though October prices will be lower.

It is a season of big changes for the family, with a new home on the horizon and a new school for Prince George

Two trips to Mustique in one year might be a little much, though. Perhaps Prince William and the Princess of Wales will take George, Charlotte, and Louis to their Norfolk home, Anmer Hall. Gifted to the couple by Queen Elizabeth II after their wedding, the 19th-century bolt hole has long been a retreat for the future king and queen. The pair renovated it soon after moving in, with Kate reportedly masterminding a design overhaul with architect Charles Morris (who had previously worked on Highgrove), adding a glass-roofed garden room. Catherine’s fellow history of art scholar, Ben Pentreath, looked after the interiors.
It’s not the only way in which Prince George’s life is about to change. The future heir to the throne is leaving Lambrook for the next chapter of his education, and while it was previously reported that Kate was hoping to send her oldest son to her alma mater, Marlborough, insiders have told the Mail on Sunday that ‘all roads lead to Eton’. Should Prince George follow in the footsteps of his father and his uncle, Prince Harry, his months will be getting a whole lot busier when schooltime comes around. No doubt he and his family are looking forward to some much-needed relaxation this holiday, then.
