Best-dressed at Academy Museum Gala 2025: Kim Kardashian, Jenna Ortega & more | Currently Trending

Dubbed the Met Gala of the West, the Academy Museum Gala raises money for LA’s Academy Museum of Motion Pictures and always draws a seriously starry crowd. Let’s take a closer look at some of the many standout fashion moments from this year’s red carpet. All eyes were on Kim Kardashian during Saturday’s red carpet because hers were completely covered along with the rest of her famous face. Kim wore a masked Maison Margella Oat Couture look which she told Variety she was drawn to because it’s quote very skinsy. The mask was apparently a lastminute addition after Kim was already in full glam and she joked that her makeup artist whom she’d flown in from New York for the event was probably not so happy with it. By the way, if this outfit feels familiar, it’s probably because Kim wore a very similar masked Balenciaga couture look to the 2021 Met Gala. Moving on to Haley Bieber, the road founder hit the step and repeat in a brown silk scaparelli couture booier dress with exaggerated hips and a rhinestone brooch. And judging by Haley’s Instagram post from the gala, that molded corset wasn’t the easiest to sit in. Beauty is pain, as they say. Newlywed Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco matched in velvet for the event with the only murders in the building star in a black strapless Armani preb gown sprinkled with crystals and the music producer in a midnight blue double- breasted suit by Giorgio Armani. Jenna Ortega keeps knocking it out of the park style-wise, and I loved this silver metal gracling breastplate she paired with a sleek satin skirt. I’m not sure exactly how that sliver of a shirt stayed in place throughout the night, but honestly, who cares when it looks this cool? And speaking of daring tops, Rebecca Hall was a walking optical illusion on the red carpet. She wore a sheer tool Tom Brown bodysuit that, thanks to its collage of gray seere sucker and suiting fabric, created the illusion of body paint. Too cool. Charlie X brought brat energy to the ball in this black leather and lace gown from St. Laurent, single-handedly proving a krenolin skirt can be edgy. Another Staint Laurent standout, this chocolate colored gown with super dramatic sleeves, cascades of ruffles, and an open back on Zoe Kravitz. This woman literally looks good in everything. I also adored this very midsummer coated Karolina Herrera gown on Michelle Monahan. Between the 3D florals, the volume, and the gorgeous color, it hit all the right notes. But my personal favorite look of the entire night had to be the seafoam green Louis Vuitton gown on one battle after another actress Chase Infinity. Crafted from pleated silk taffida, it’s an absolute knockout, as is the woman wearing it. For more celebrity fashion, head to Page Six Style.
