Prince William and Princess Kate are reportedly leading the quest to push out Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson out of Royal Lodge, as the couple are said to want the disgraced royal to “disappear”. According to royal biographer Tina Brown, William and Kate, both 43, “can’t abide” Andrew.
The 65-year-old recently revealed that he will relinquish his remaining royal titles and honours amid the latest Epstein scandal. His ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, will also no longer be known as Sarah, Duchess of York.
Ms Brown claims that the reality of having Andrew still living in Windsor threatens to spoil Kate and William’s “forever home” Forest Lodge.
Kate and William are set to move into their new home with their three children – Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and seven-year-old Prince Louis – next month.
Writing on her Fresh Hell Substack, Ms Brown wrote: “Unless Andrew can be persuaded to banish himself to a cottage on the Balmoral estate or a cushy villa on a Dubai golf course, his scowly, jowly visage will keep seeping back into the national consciousness”.
She claims the couple are asking “‘How do you disappear a 6-foot-tall, 190-pound, 65-year-old man in robust good health who has an iron-clad contract to live in the Queen Mother’s former mansion, a short neigh from Windsor Castle and just four miles from the new “forever” home of Prince William and Kate, who can’t abide him?'”
This comes as it has emerged that Andrew and Sarah have not paid rent on their 30-room property in 22 years.
William is reportedly planning on banning his uncle from “all elements of royal life”, including his future coronation.
As reported by The Times, William “will be more ruthless” compared to his father King Charles.
Although involved in discussion, William is understood to have not been satisfied with the outcome and knows the “Andrew problem” will be “in his in-tray at some point”. It added: “He will excluded from public and private royal events, including the coronation, and banned from most state occasions.”
