Actor Ernie Hudson, 79, was a guest on Sherri to chat with host Sherri Shepherd about his latest project, Boston Blue.
However, it wasn’t his new TV show that had Shepherd and fans floored. Hudson’s 61-year-old son, Ernie Hudson Jr., was in the audience, and his ageless appearance alongside his dad left the talk show host flabbergasted.

In a clip from the appearance posted on the Sherri Instagram, Ernie was welcomed with a round of applause from the audience. The clip then flipped to the moment Sherri pointed out that Ernie Jr. was in the audience.
“Golly. Oh My Gosh,” Shepherd said after Ernie Jr. stood up, looking at the Miss Congeniality star’s oldest child, and even asked, “Is he single?”
After Hudson shared a sweet story about bringing his son home from the hospital, as well as revealing that Ernie Jr. also has a son turning 40 soon, Shepherd was even more shocked.
“I just wanna say this. Erinie, I was in love with you, but your son took the cake,” she spilled. The talk show host wasn’t kidding, either, as she made several more comments about Ernie Jr.’s good looks.

Fans in the comments did not hold back on their thoughts about the father-son duo not aging one bit.
“Wow his son is 60 so he must be like 80 and he looks amazing 😍,” wrote one fan. Another stated, “So where is the 40 y/o son? Asking for a friend.”
Another fan gushed, “Meanwhile, my take away is that there’s an Ernie that’s MY age? Show us Ernie number 3. I need to see all the models!!!”
“Wait what???😮😮 They both look so amazing!! Wowza 🤩,” insisted a fan. Another fan declared, “Well got damnnnnnnnn geesh the family looks amazing 👏👏👏😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍.”
Not all the comments were about the Hudson men, as Shepherd and her actions were mentioned a few times, too.
“Sherri said what everyone is thinking. I LOVED Ernie growing up but his SON….. Damn!!! Is it HOT in here …..🥵🥵🥵,” wrote one fan, as another added, “ Wahala 😝😝😝I love your energy, sense of humor, and authenticity. You simply rock @sherrieshepherd ❤️”.
A different fan expressed, “I hope he takes @sherrieshepherd on a date she deserves it!!😍.”
Ernie didn’t just dishBoston Bluewhile appearing on Sherri. The talented actor previously gave an update on the future of the Ghostbusters franchise, and it’s some pretty good news for fans.
