Emmys: Kelsey Grammer gets emotional talking ‘Cheers,’ Kirstie Alley

Cheers to Kelsey Grammer adding another member to his family.
The 70-year-old actor revealed in the Oct. 27 “Pod Meets World” podcast episode that he and his wife of 14 years, Kayte Walsh, welcomed a baby son in October.
“We just had our fourth one, so it just became eight kids. It was, like, three days ago,” he told hosts Danielle Fishel, Rider Strong, and Will Friedle.
The newborn’s name is Christopher, he shared.
The “Frasier” actor went on to joke that he differentiates his children by “clusters.” He shares children Faith, 13; Gabriel, 11; and James, 8, with Walsh.
His adult children are 41-year-old “Rick & Morty” star Spencer Grammer, 33-year-old “Awkward” actress Greer Grammer, 24-year-old Mason Grammer, and 21-year-old Jude Grammer.
Kelsey Grammer, who was on the podcast to promote his book “Karen: A Brother Remembers,” then opened up about whether he’s told his “younger group” of children about the novel. Published in May, the memoir reflects the “hope and healing” the actor has undergone in the decades since his 18-year-old sister Karen was sexually assaulted and killed in 1975, when he was 20 years old.
He said that his “inquisitive” 11-year-old son Gabriel asked “probing” questions about Grammer’s late sister, including whether the actor would want to retaliate against her killer, who was sentenced to life in prison.
“It’s what he does. He likes to find out what’s going on. I think he’s going to be some sort of weird genius. I don’t know what he’ll choose in his life,” he said. “I admire him as a person. I admire his (sticking) to his tenacity and searching for the truth. He’s a really interesting kid. They’re all interesting.”
Grammer and Walsh have been married since February 2011, when Grammer was 55 and Walsh was 29. They exchanged their vows in a New York City ceremony that took place following his divorce from ex-wife Camille Grammer.
