Sarah Ferguson “has nowhere to go, or anyone else to go with,” as negotiations over her and Prince Andrew’s future continue amid the unfolding Jeffrey Epstein scandal, friends have said.
The ex-Duchess of York was reportedly “on the edge” after she and her former husband demanded royal officials provide two home for them at Windsor, should they move out of the Royal Lodge. The pair have lived in the property together, despite their divorce, since 2008.
It had been suggested Prince Andrew could move into Harry and Meghan’s former Frogmore Cottage home, while Ferguson is said to have requested Adelaide Cottage, that will soon be vacated by William and Kate. But insiders reportedly claimed the offer was “misrepresentative of the truth” and it has “been on the table for months”.

“It was an option put forward by the ‘other side’ and at an early stage [in negotiations,” sources told MailOnline. Whether it is still on the table, I don’t know.
“But the suggestion that they have been demanding a new home each is misrepresentative of the truth. No demands have been made. People have been trying to come up with solutions.”

Buckingham Palace has declined to comment on the claims, but insiders reportedly said they “do not recognise” this version of events. King Charles III is believed to have long wanted his younger brother to move out of the 30-room Royal Lodge.

Prince Andrew is said to be willing to part ways with Ferguson, although their homes will be just a few miles away from one another. It has been noted the King has no legal responsibility toward Ferguson who has, essentially, been a “lodger” at her ex-husband’s home for nearly two decades.
Sources who know about Sarah’s situation described their situation as “absolutely bereft” as well as being “completely on the edge.” She is said to be hugely “embarrassed” by the scandal that has risked bringing down her and her ex-husband.
Prince Andrew had already stepped away from Royal duties after his disastrous BBC Newsnight interview with Emily Maitlis in 2019 where he admitted to meeting Epstein after he was convicted of child sex offences in 2008. Ferguson was also embroiled in the scandal after an email came to light where she apologised for distancing herself from him following his conviction.
