EXCLUSIVE: Newly minted Emmy Award-winner Katherine LaNasa has signed with WME for representation in all areas. The agency will work with her to build on her momentum and further solidify her impact in television, film, and beyond.
LaNasa recently received the coveted accolade in the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series category for her portrayal of E.R. charge nurse Dana Evans in the Emmy-winning HBO Max drama series The Pitt. A highlight of her Season 1 performance comes in Episode 9, when an angry patient outside the hospital savagely attacks Dana while she is on a smoking break. It’s a pivotal moment that highlights the real-life violence medical professionals can face while trying to save lives. LaNasa thanked the nurses who inspired her character during her acceptance speech back in September.
The Pitt, from creator R. Scott Gemmill and producer John Wells, began production on Season 2 in June. LaNasa joins the returning cast, which also includes Noah Wyle (who also executive produces), Shawn Hatosy, Isa Briones, Supriya Ganesh, Fiona Dourif, Taylor Dearden, and Patrick Ball, among others.
Additional TV credits include, a series regular roles in Apple TV+’s Truth Be Told opposite Octavia Spencer, Netflix’s Imposters, CW’s Katy Keene, NBC’s Seinfeld, NBC’s E.R., ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy, CBS’s Two and A Half Men, Hulu’s Future Man, HBO’s Big Love, FX’s Justified, A&E’s Longmire, and Disney+’s Daredevil: Born Again.
LaNasa’s film credits include Jay Roach’s The Campaign opposite Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis, and Billy Bob Thornton’s Jayne Mansfield’s Car alongside Robert Duvall and Kevin Bacon, as well as performances in Garry Marshall’s Valentine’s Day and Stephen Soderbergh’s Schizopolis.
A proud New Orleans native, LaNasa began her career as a professional ballet dancer and choreographer. She attended the North Carolina School of the Arts, where she trained before launching an international ballet career at 17. Once in Los Angeles, she trained under acting teacher Sanford Meisner. In addition to her acting career, she is an environmental activist.
LaNasa continues to be represented by Luber Roklin, Hansen, Jacobson, Teller, and 42 West.
