Meghan Markle Returns to Acting in Lily Collins & Brie Larson Movie | E! News

Meghan Markle is returning to acting for the first time in 7 years. According to multiple outlets, the Duchess of Sussex is set to return to her acting roots for a new movie called Close Personal Friends, starring Lily Collins and Brie Larson. And per People magazine, Megan was reportedly seen on set playing herself in a small role in the Amazon MGM Studios produced comedy, which follows partners who befriend a famous couple during a trip to Santa Barbara, California. E-News reached out to reps for Megan and to Amazon for comment, but has not yet heard back. Close personal friends, also starring Henry Golding and Jack Quaid, was first announced back in August with production beginning one month later in London. And while most of the details about the flick are still being kept under wraps, Lily has since shared a behind-the-scenes look at the Jason Orley directed project. In a photo posted to Instagram September 22nd, the Emily and Paris star posed for a selfie alongside Henry, Bri, and Jack, captioning the pic, “Close personal friends only.” As for Megan, the movie marks her first acting role since she exited the long-unning legal drama Suits in 2018 after playing series regular Rachel Zayn for seven seasons. The 44year-old made the decision to leave the show to focus on her responsibilities within the royal family ahead of her marriage to Prince Harry, who she tied the knot with in 2018. [Music]
