Jennifer Lawrence Reveals Her Hardest Role Ever
I read that you were like 5 months pregnant at the time of filming. Would you say this is like the hardest role that you’ve taken on? No, X-Men was harder because of the body paint. Mother was was really hard. You might not know this from experience, but when you hit your second trimester when you’re pregnant, um I’m also told it’s because I was pregnant with a boy. I think girls give you more sickness or something, but you finally kind of get a rush of energy and you’re feeling better. You go from feeling sick every day for 3 months to like, okay, I feel better. I have energy. So, not only did I like feel better and have more energy when I’m acting and I have to kind of conjure up these like emotions and energy after Lynen calls cut, like none of the consequences are real. So, I kind of just like get like a high and so I I had fun. I love that. And you could channel all of that into creativity. Yeah. And the baby, he’s happy. He doesn’t seem affected. High five. That’s great
What’s the hardest thing Jennifer Lawrence has ever done on a film set? You’d think a psychologically intense role filmed while 5 months pregnant would top the list… but you’d be wrong.
She reveals that the physical struggle of the blue Mystique body paint in X-Men was tougher, and that the hormonal energy from her pregnancy actually gave her a “high” that made filming the intense scenes of her new movie a surprisingly fun experience.
A fascinating look at the craft of acting from one of the best.
