Tessa Thompson discusses her process for picking projects.
I mean, I I feel so lucky to be in a place in my career where I have some measure of choice, right? And certainly when I feel like I first started, there was less optionality, frankly, for a woman that looks like me or a woman that looks like you. And I guess I just think about wanting us as women and as women of color in particular to get to occupy all sorts of spaces, to get to have access to the full breath of our humanity. And so I think about that a lot in the projects that I choose. And also just what is a delight and you know what feels exciting.
