Kylie Jenner is getting candid about how she felt being a young mom.
The Kylie Cosmetics founder, 28, appeared on her sister Khloé Kardashian’s podcast Khloé in Wonder Land and spoke about being a mom to her two kids — son Aire, 3, and daughter Stormi, 7. Asked by Khloé how she balances her personal identity with her parenting, Kylie honestly shares that it was hard for her at first.
“I think I have a really good balance,” Kylie admitted. “I think that I definitely still feel like myself. It was really hard for me having kids so young and you’re just…the emotions, and the postpartum.”
“And probably being the only one in your circle [to have kids],” Khloé responded.
“The only one. Yris [Palmer]. Yris and I became a lot closer. She’s a little bit older than me, we had kids together also,” Kylie responds. “But I think I did a pretty good job. I think it just takes time.”
“You did a great job,” says Khloé. “It took me like a year, probably, after — both times — to really feel like myself again,” adds Kylie.
“I think that’s normal. I think it just takes a minute to get your f—— mojo back,” says Khloé. “No, it does,” adds Kylie.
This isn’t the first time Kylie has gotten candid about having her kids at a young age. The makeup mogul, who was 20 when she had daughter Stormi and 24 when she welcomed son Aire, spoke with British Vogue in August 2024 about becoming a young mom.
Recalling her first pregnancy with Stormi, Kylie shared, “I was 19 when I got pregnant, 20 when I had her,” adding that, “It was wild.”
“Looking back at it, I give myself more empathy and grace,” she explained at the time. “But when I was a teenager, even my family were like: ‘You aren’t that young.’ I think maybe I carried myself [a certain way], or I’d already been working for 10 years. It didn’t hit me [straight away]. But it was a huge life change.”

The mom of two added at the time: “I have this daughter and I just want the best for her and I want her to just love herself unconditionally.”
Kylie also told the outlet that the “tricky part” of being a young mom was “figuring out the balance of growing up with your kids” and explaining her lifestyle to her friends without children of their own.
“I have to remind my friends who don’t have kids all the time, who are like: ‘Let’s do this in the morning!’, that I have children,” she explained. “Letting go of your selfishness and your freedom at a very young age… I don’t think we realize how selfish we are as human beings until we have children. But, you know, that is also the biggest pro.”
“I’m 26 and I have a first-grader. I’m going to be 40 with a 20-year-old,” she cried, then added, “And we’re going to be best friends.”
