According to a PR expert, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s return to royal life could be “impossible” following their step into the world of Hollywood.

The couple are reported to be at a crossroads in terms of what their future will look like after appearing at Kris Jenner’s 70th birthday party.

Their second-guessing of the future has become apparent due to all evidence of the Sussexes’ attendance at the party being removed following the event.

PR expert and director of EMPRA, Ruth Sparkles, is now saying that the Duke and Duchess are in a bind as they lose “credibility” this side of the pond, reports the Express.

Ruth said: “If they’re genuinely trying to rebuild bridges with the Royal Family, they can’t keep leaning too far into the Hollywood lifestyle, it just doesn’t fit with royal duty and restraint.”

She went on to add: “If they go full-blown Hollywood, it’ll be almost impossible to pull that back later. If I were advising them, I’d say focus on the royal connection for the next 12 to 18 months, keep things consistent and low-key, and rebuild credibility this side of the pond.

“At that point, they can decide if there’s room to blend in Hollywood again – work out how to balance profile with purpose in a way that actually lasts.”

This comes after Page Six reported that a representative from the couple asked both Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner to remove all photos of Meghan and Harry from the 70th birthday bash.

A source went on to say that they aren’t wanting to annoy any of the Royal Family while trying to ease the growing rift.

A source previously claimed that palace insiders believed the couple’s lifestyle was “tacky”, adding that it “shows that Harry is so far removed from the rest of the family”.

A growing divide has also been seen between Harry and Meghan themselves as the Prince has been reported to be missing the UK, while Meghan is set to make her “Hollywood comeback” in a new blockbuster film called Close Personal Friends.

Set to star Emily In Paris actress Lily Collins and Marvel superhero Brie Larson, Meghan is reported to be starring as herself after an eight-year hiatus.

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliam says: “Meghan’s decision to appear as herself in a Hollywood comedy film definitely emphasises her shift towards the US. But Harry still feels very deeply about his homeland and would like to spend more time in the UK. The same cannot be said for Meghan, so there’s a clear divergence in opinions there.

“We also don’t know what will come after this film, but we do know they have Netflix projects to deliver, so this may only be the start for her in Hollywood.”

Meanwhile, while Harry told the BBC that he missed the UK, he also said he couldn’t confidently say he would come back after losing a legal case with the Home Office over security.

However, tensions between the Sussexes and the Royal Family may be easing as Harry was able to reunite with his dad, King Charles III, back in September at a private meeting in Clarence House.
