Jason Momoa was one of Hollywood’s biggest hellraisers. Not anymore!
The 46-year-old actor has totally changed his ways, the National Enquirer has learned, and friends are crediting his girlfriend, Adria Arjona, with being a positive influence.
“Jason is turning his whole approach to life upside down [for] this relationship with Adria,” reveals a source, adding that it’s a “huge change” from his behavior during his marriage to ex-wife Lisa Bonet, with whom he shares daughter Lola, 18, and son Nakoa-Wolf, 16.

“Lisa let Jason be Jason, and he was happy to run wild and let it all hang out and be himself, for good and for bad,” says the source. “But Adria has created a real change in Jason since they got together and he has toned down his antics and the over-the-top aspects of his personality.”
Four months after his divorce from Bonet, 57, was finalized, the Aquaman star went public with Arjona, 33, in May of 2024 and their relationship has only gotten more serious. Most recently, in August, Momoa revealed on Despierta America that he’d met the actress’ father, Guatemalan singer-songwriter Ricardo Arjona — a major step for any couple. He even gifted the musician, 61, his favorite guitar!
“Around Adria, Jason is calmer, he’s more charming, and he has moments of genuine patience and humility, which is the biggest change,” shares the source. “Of course, he’s also having one of the biggest years of his career after a decade and a half of highs and lows.”

A Minecraft Movie was a box-office success, opening to $313 million global in April, and Momoa’s new Apple TV+ show, Chief of War, premiered in July to critical acclaim.
“Jason wants to keep the momentum going, but he wants to do it with Adria at his side every step of the way,” says the source. “There’s real confidence that these two can go the distance because of how much he has transformed.”
