Why Paris Jackson Is Calling Out Michael Jackson’s Estate Executors

Nice. You’re right, Paris. Paris is slamming the executives chosen by her father, Michael Jackson, and his will, alleging they’re abusing their rules in order to pad their own pockets. Paris claims the executives paid themselves 10 million each in 2021 when she and her brothers Prince and BG got less than half that. NBC legal analyst Misty Maris says Paris could have a point in disputing this. It’s all about whether or not the executives are acting in the best interest of the estate, not in their own best interest. Paris is actually questioning whether or not they are financially gaining from some of the investments that the estate money is going towards. One specific example Paris cites is the executive’s choice to invest in risky entertainment projects, including the upcoming Jackson biopic Michael, starring her cousin Jafar. Q, can you lower the lights for me, please? One of the executives is producing a Michael Jackson biopic. And in that biopic, he cast Miles Teller to play himself. This is something she can bring to the court to say there’s a conflict of interest. Paris also alleging the executives completely failed to invest $464 million properly and that if they had, it could have gained 41 million in profits. If the court were to say that these executives need to be removed for whatever reason, the children of Michael Jackson could technically take over the estate, but this is a really complicated financial situation. And so the court may say that another neutral needs to come in and oversee the estate. [Music]
