EXCLUSIVE: The holidays are just around the corner and Meghan Markle is being advised to pull back on her lifestyle brand promotions as they may get in the way of Harry’s pursuit of a royal reconcilation.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly have low-key Thanksgivings, but this year may be different with Harry pursuing a royal reconciliation and Meghan launching her lifestyle brand at the start of the year.
With Thanksgiving just around the corner, we thought it’d be a good idea to check in with Pauline Maclaran, royal author and expert in consumer research, who shared her thoughts on the Sussexes’ plans for the hiolidays.
Maclaran expressed concern over Meghan’s ambitious ways overshadowing Harry’s plans to reconcile with his father, King Charles.

“Meghan certainly seems to have been sharing more of their private side so she may feature their Thanksgiving celebrations in some way on her Instagram,” Maclaran said.
She explained why oversharing gives her pause: “It does seem Harry is trying not to stir things with his family. I imagine he would like to see his father more frequently and is mindful of how his behaviours may impact on the King.”

Prince William is warming up to the idea of welcoming Harry back into the fold, which means Harry has to be on his best behavior.
It seems Harry knows this and has been watching what he says and does. In some cases it’s out of his control, for example photos of him and Meghan popping up on social media.
But in Meghan’s case, she’s been sharing more on Instagram, which is nice for royal watchers, but at the same time, it could throw off Harry’s plans to make amends with the Royal Family.

Meghan is being advised to make smart decisions when it comes to mixing family and business.
Maclaran doesn’t seen Meghan “making a big deal over Thanksgiving” and that’s because she has other plans.
“Certainly there’s a gift box of jams featured on her As ever site and talk of the ‘holiday season’ but more in line with Christmas rather than Thanksgiving,” Maclaran said.
Meghan advised to pull back
“I suspect she is saving most of her efforts for the Christmas trade which makes sense as there is much more gift-giving at this time. Her products are ideal as presents!”
“Given her product range, which is much more suitable for presents, I think it would be a mistake to promote her range too much for Thanksgiving given how close to Christmas it is and the risk of consumer fatigue.”
