Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and his ex wife Sarah Ferguson’s fall from grace has been shaming and very public. Both have been stripped of their royal titles and are being forced out of their shared home amid the scandal involving their ties to the late convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
And it’s reported that members of the Royal Family have become increasingly concerned for the mental health of both Andrew, 65 and 66 year old Sarah amid the controversy. Andrew has been stripped of his price prefix while Sarah has seen many charities she was previously associated with cut ties and her new children’s book has been axed.
Royal expert Richard Jobson was asked how the former couple are bearing up following the scandals and replied: “Not very well I don’t think,” reports The Express.
Speaking to The Sun’s YouTube channel, the royal commentator also shared that some members of the family, even those who have ‘taken action’, are worried for their wellbeing.
He said: “I think even members of the Royal Family who have taken action are concerned about both their mental health.
“I think that, most of all, you’ve got to be concerned about the victims of the Epstein scandal, and that to me is the biggest worry. They’re human beings; a lot has been taken away.”
It comes after it has emerged that Sarah has taken to reportedly been “pouring her heart out” to staff at a secret pub close to Royal Lodge.
Speaking to The Sun, a source said Andrew and Sarah have been “heard having some pretty intense conversations about what is going on”, with the latter left “panicking about what comes next”.

They added that Sarah is “not in a good place” and “massively on edge” and pouring her heart out to friends and staff.
They said: “It is probably far-fetched but she is s***-scared and massively on edge. Luckily Sarah has quite a few staff left working for her who really like her, and she is really leaning on them for support… she drinks in there with friends and staff to escape from what is going on in her life generally. And while she is there, she takes advice on what to do next.”
The once close relationship between the pair, who divorced in 1996, is said to have become ‘tense’ with them living under the same roof at Royal Lodge in Windsor but sleeping a separate ends of the 30 room mansion.
Fergie is said to plotting her escape from the UK once she is turfed out of the home and it has been reported she will hole up at her daughter Princess Eugenie’s home in Portugal.
She has another option too. Princess Beatrice has a granny annexe at her home in the Cotswold where Fergie could live. Her father Andrew is to move to a residence on the Sandringham estate in Norfolk. King Charles is said to be funding his new home andwill provide him with some financial support.
