Disgraced Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s humiliating party antics from his younger years have come back into the spotlight, amid the ex-Duke’s latest fall from grace. The former Duke of York has been stripped of his titles and honours by his brother, the King, due to his ongoing association with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

Andrew has always had a bad reputation for his inappropriate and distasteful humour, as well as his temper; however, a new book, released this summer, highlighted how the disgraced royal’s young behaviour differed little from his adult behaviour. Royal biographer Andrew Lownie wrote in his book Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the Yorks about the ex-prince’s exploits over the years, citing people who have claimed to have witnessed them.

The claims alleged, according to the Mail, that Andrew was always eager to “annoy, provoke, and humiliate women and girls” at parties and other stately events.

One of those who claimed to have witnessed Andrew’s mishandlings was writer Craig Brown, who alleged in the book that when Andrew was just 17 years old, he became the “laughing stock” of a house party due to his bizarre behaviour towards girls.

He previously wrote about the incident in the Mail, saying in 2019: “The only time I ever encountered Prince Andrew was more than 40 years ago, at a large house party in Scotland. I was 19 years old, so he would have been about 17.

“Over breakfast, three pretty girls who were sharing a bedroom told the rest of us that the Prince had barged into their room in the early hours of the morning, saying: ‘There’s a ghost in my room, so I’m going to have to sleep here.’

“Needless to say, they booted him out, and for the rest of his stay he was that stock figure of English comedy, popularised by Benny Hill, the pompous oaf whose lascivious moves make him a laughing stock. Prince Andrew was young then and he is old now, but, judging by the recent events, he has yet to learn his lesson.”

In Mr Lownie’s book, a journalist also alleged that Andrew had walked into the bathroom of a girl where she was brushing her teeth to “lecture” her on proper technique, while another woman claimed to have woken up to a jolly Andrew “foolishly laughing” while pointing a fire extinguisher at her.

She claimed that he had played the same prank in all the other girls’ rooms.

One of his former dates said that he told the “most pathetic jokes,” while he was also accused of asking one of his brother, Prince Edward’s ex gifriend’s about the smell of farts.

A titled lady of his generation allegedly said: ”He is easily the most boorish man I have ever met.”

Mr Lownie spoke about Andrew’s alleged “juvenile characteristic,” saying: “A strong and juvenile characteristic of his is to take advantage of his position to humiliate others who may not be able to respond.

“At a society event in 1992, he unzipped broadcaster Tania Bryer’s evening dress the full length of her back.

“His idea of fun is to get guests at parties to close their eyes then place an open tube of mustard between their outstretched hands and get them to clap. ‘The spectacle of someone receiving a faceful of mustard gives him great joy,’ said a source.”

Andrew has not commented on any claims made in the book.
