Marissa Bode Explains What Other Sets Can Learn From ‘Wicked’

    What is one thing film productions can learn from Wicked about how they can make sets and productions more inclusive for someone who uses a wheelchair or has a disability? I think the first step is not assuming and and not being afraid to ask questions or maybe get things wrong cuz that’s how change happens. We we cannot move forward unless we conquer our fears of getting things wrong. then correct yourself than not try at all and leave an entire community behind. So I think one hiring more disabled people behind the scenes. Hiring an access coordinator, a disability coordinator is incredibly important and is something that the Wicked team did and was extremely helpful. Talking to more disabled people and asking questions and and also doing your own research. And then also when it comes to helping a specific disabled person or making sure that the space is accessible for them, which is something again that the the Wicked team did did really really Well,
