Cory Booker weds Rosario Dawson lookalike Alexis Lewis — trolls be damned
New Jerseys Senator Cy Booker is a married man, ending decades of bachelorhood for the former presidential hopeful. Corey and his much younger wife, Alexis Lewis, tied the knot over Thanksgiving week. She’s 38, he’s 56, and the internet thinks she looks a lot like his ex-girlfriend, actress Rosario Dawson. Two Republicans couldn’t resist trolling the high-profile Democrat. In an ex post replying to the wedding news, George Santos shaded, “I married my first wife before I came out of the closet, and there is nothing wrong with that.” Megan McCain, the former conservative co-host of The View, piled on, tweeting, “Never, ever, ever quit this platform, my friend.” To which he quipped, “Don’t intend to.” George Santos is clearly feeling bold. Long Island’s notoriously lying congressman was expelled from the House of Representatives in 2023. And earlier this year, he was sentenced to 7 years for wire fraud and identity theft. But then last month, President Trump commuted his prison time. And now he’s a free man. The same day he threw shade at Cory Booker, Santos posted a 4-year anniversary pic of his husband, Matt Gerard, writing, “I love you to the moon and back.” In 2024, he dished exclusively to Page Six how they met. Grinder. Bingo. Six years ago. See, and they say dating apps are a waste. Uh, they they typically are. This was totally It was a glitch, too, by the way, cuz I’m here in New York. He’s all the way in Jersey. And it says he was like, “Okay, all the way in Jersey.” I’m a Jersey girl. We are not that far. Okay. Well, Grinder said he was a couple of feet away from me when he was miles away from me. Oh, so it was a system glitch in a sense. And I’m like, “Oh, was it meant to be or was it just my, you know, was it just bridge and tunnel?” Uh, as for the Garden State’s newest newlyweds, Cory and Alexis, it’s been a whirlwind romance. They met in May 2024, and then less than 3 months ago, their overjoyed engagement photos in Hawaii broke the internet with many noting Alexis’s uncanny resemblance to Cory’s ex, Rosario Dawson. But don’t worry, the actress had nothing but love in the comments. Oscar winner Halib Berry also gushed over the happy couple. At their romantic proposal, Hawaiian musicians played a rendition of Alexis’s favorite song, Dream Lover by Mariah Carey, as Corey got down on one knee. And now she’s going to share forever with her baby. I want to share with you, baby.
Senator Cory Booker is married after a whirlwind romance to Alexis Lewis, he announced. Booker, 56, shared pictures of his two wedding celebrations with Lewis, 38, on Instagram. Their first wedding celebration was an intimate courthouse affair in Newark, NJ, with their parents present. Their second celebration was held with more guests in attendance in Washington, DC.
