In the car, we crank a lot of Ariana. Thank you. I mean, so many tunes. So many tunes. During their actors on actor sit down for variety, it became clear that it would be a bad idea to think that Adam Sandler wasn’t familiar with Ariana Grande’s disgraphy. When I was leaving today, I said to the kids, “What any tunes you want me to bring up?” They screamed like 50 different songs at me. That was very sweet. And while Adam didn’t name any of those 50 songs, the 19-year-old daughter Satie and 17-year-old daughter Sunny shouted out, one came to mind. immediately after the variety shoot when he and Ariana debriefed with CNN. Can I tell you NASA? The song NASA. Oh my gosh. NASA [Music] Satie was like, “Remember NASA, Dad? Remember NA?” I said, cuz I said, “What tune should I talk about with Ariana?” Anyway, that’s that’s probably the number one in the house. Well, thank you very much. I’m honored. Now, there was another deep cut of Ariana’s 2019 Thank You Next album that I remember during her sit down. When grandma’s on the Bloodlines track. Oh, yeah. And she talk whatever she says up top, we laugh our asses off. Thank you. Grandma’s funny as hell. Because I’m trying to do the best I can and they can’t find something to satisfy me. And it’s something about being satisfied and and boy, it’s very cute. But and they can get filthy at times, by the way. and the children. No, it’s been it’s not like that anymore. Twitter pointed out the dandelion happened this year on Ariana’s birthday days ahead release. No, no, the times of our life and we I have the similar times and let me tell you that the children have learned stuff that I I’m glad they know. I’m grateful to have been a a teacher. You’re part of it forever. Yes. But Adam is also aware of the G-rated material that Arian has covered. You know what else we listen to in the car a lot? If there’s a price for you, say I’m in love from from Hercules. Yes. Yes. So Ariana recorded that at home in April 2020 and it aired on ABC as part of the Disney family sing along during lockdown times. You sang that. We saw you sing that. You’ve put together every voice, every harmony. Oh my god. another black like like a another uh pandemic blackout spot. You did it during during the pandmic. No, you’re right. I It was the greatest. We listened to that and watched that maybe 300 times. Oh my gosh. Thank you. You did every all your own harmonies. That song’s the greatest song. I love it. While Adam only watched Wicked for Good the night before this actors and actors episode, he was already wellversed in the wicked world. Thank goodness is a tremendous one. I mean, Popular in my house was played a lot, a lot a lot. And Defying Gravity was played a lot. It was kind of like when the kids were like six and eight, it was every ride. Every every time we’d want to kind of calm them down, we throw that on. Right. Well, his girls weren’t the reason that he played the Wicked soundtrack on set of the 2019 film Uncut Gems, which co-starred Dina Miselle, the original Broadway Alphaba. He brought in a like a boom box to set and he played defying gravity, right? Embarrass embarrassed me. Yeah, I’m not so sure. It was Adam’s daughters that were the reason that Adam’s always listening to the wicked soundtrack in Ariana’s disography. Not so sure about that. But it was fun to hear Adam actually names the songs because so often in this type of situation, a celebrity will just say, “I love all their songs.” Or, “I love all their movies.” When Yeah. because they just can’t think of one off the top of their head, which is understandable, but yeah, that’s usually what the answer is.
