A source has revealed that, despite the tensions surrounding Beatrice and her father, it would be “cruel” to leave him out of an occasion celebrating his granddaughter.
The source revealed: “Beatrice has, of course invited her father. But things are not warm between them. However, she’s worried about him.
“He’s going through a low ebb with his mental health and she recognises that he dotes on his grandchildren and it would be cruel to deprive him of the chance to attend the christening.”
The former prince and his ex-wife are set to move out of the sprawling 30-room royal property next year.
It comes after Andrew was stripped of his royal titles in the wake of continuing controversy over his relationship with disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein. Andrew denies all the allegations against him.
