Prince Harry has received harsh criticism from a Royal expert for making an “unwise” decision. Over recent weeks, the Duke of Sussex has made two jabs at President Donald Trump.
This included a quip on Stephen Colbert’s The Late Show last week, when Harry joked about Americans’ fascination with royalty. When Colbert disagreed, the Duke responded: “Really? I hear you elected a king.”
This was thought to reference the “No Kings” protests aimed at the Trump administration.
Days later, Harry made an unexpected appearance at the British American Business Council in Santa Monica and delivered another dig at Trump’s expense.
While discussing the 2026 World Cup, Harry mentioned that England and Scotland have secured spots for next year’s tournament, which will take place in the US, Canada, and Mexico.
Richard Fitzwilliams told Express.co.uk: “Harry’s been an extra twice in the last week, once in the critically excoriated With Love, Meghan and the other on Stephen Colbert’s The Late Show.
“The former was pretty meaningless, although we learnt what foods he doesn’t like. The latter was silly, and it wasn’t wise to mock Donald Trump!”
Donald Trump is believed to maintain positive relationships with the Royal Family, but has notably criticized both Harry and his wife Meghan Markle, whom he believes distressed the late Queen when they decided to step back from Royal duties in the UK.
