Meghan Markle’s Estranged Father Receives Her Letter After Leg Amputation

After days of conflicting reports as to whether Meghan Markle was in contact with her alien father, the Duchess of Sussex has managed to get a letter delivered to his bedside. On December 10th, a spokesperson for the Duchess, stated that quote, “With the support of reliable and trusted contacts, her correspondence is now safely in his hands.” In recent days, Thomas Markle, who is currently recovering from a lower leg amputation in a Philippines hospital, had publicly questioned his daughter’s attempts to reach out to him. While the Duchess’s team claimed Megan had emailed her father on Friday, December 5th after learning of his operation, the Mail on Sunday reported Thomas was quote confused because he had not received any communication. According to People, Megan had also personally called several hospitals while trying to locate her father. Her team allegedly also sought clarification from those close to Thomas regarding the best way of contacting him as he recovers, but the 81-year-old continued to assert he had not received any messages. In the exclusive interview published December 6th, Thomas stated, quote, “I don’t want to die estranged.” and expressed a desperate desire to meet his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lily, as well as Megan’s husband, the Duke of Sussex, before it is quote too late. Thomas’ operation comes after years of reported medical challenges, including a stroke in 2022. According to the Mail on Sunday, one of Thomas’s doctors emphasized the seriousness of this latest hospitalization, stating, “It was life or death surgery. Had the infection in the foot moved to his heart, it would most likely have been fatal. He is doing well, but he is not out of the woods yet.” The arangement between Megan and her father began shortly before her marriage to Prince Harry in 2018 after Thomas was found to have colluded with the press to stage paparazzi photos. The Duchess of Sussex revealed her reaction to the scandal in an interview with Oprah Winfrey. We called my dad and I asked him and he said, “No, absolutely not.” I said, “You know, the the institution has never intervened for anything for us, but they can try to go in and kill this story, but if they do this once, we’re not going to be able to use that same leverage to protect our own kids one day.” He said, “No, absolutely not.” He hadn’t been talking to them. Yeah. Yeah. So he basically lied to you. Well, and so when I said we won’t be able to protect our own kids one day and and I said, “So I just need you to tell me and if you tell me the truth, we can help.” And he wasn’t able to do that.
