Prince Harry has some powerful allies back home.
The royal, 41, has made it clear that he would like to bring his wife, Meghan Markle, and kids, Archie, 6, and Lilibet, 4, to the U.K. and there is a growing “establishment plot” to help him succeed, Richard Eden reported in the Daily Mail on Thursday, December 11.
“The plot is known as ‘Project Thaw’ because the aim is to ‘warm up’ the duke’s and duchess’s frosty relationships with the rest of the Royal Family and with the British people,” Eden reported.
King Charles III “has been drawn into this,” the journalist continued, along with several key government figures who “admire the duke and want him to play a bigger part in public life.”

There are also others who still believe the As Ever founder, 44, could bring a needed breath of fresh air to the royal family, he added.
The first step, as Star has reported, is the government’s new risk assessment to evaluate the level of threats against Harry and Meghan, which could pave the way to reestablishing their taxpayer-funded protection.
With their security covered, the family will be able to spend much more time in Britain, Eden points out, which is Harry’s plan.

“As a friend of the duke’s told me in September: ‘Harry wants to educate the children here in the UK…. Harry feels his children are missing out on the extensive family network that their niece and nephews are enjoying.’ ”
Prince William’s brother also “wants his children to have the very best education. He has retained his closest friendship group of confidants from his days at school at Ludgrove and Eton. He wants that for his own children,” the friend told Eden.
One problem? There would likely “be fury from taxpayers” over the cost, warns Eden, which could endanger “the future of the Monarchy.”
