The 77year-old goes on to call this latest milestone both a personal relief and a sign of how far cancer research has come in recent years. And with the holidays approaching, King Charles closes his message by expressing gratitude to the medical team supporting patients across the country, including himself, noting, “This brings my most heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses, researchers, and charity workers involved in diagnosis and treatment programs. This positive update comes over a year after the king first announced his cancer diagnosis in February 2024, a year into his reign. While a specific diagnosis wasn’t disclosed, Buckingham Palace shared in a statement at the time he remains wholly positive about his treatment and looks forward to returning to full public duty as soon as possible.
