    Ariana Grande thanks Mac. Miller for showing her the way to her sound. Ari talking to students at Chapman University in California December 5th, telling fans that rapper Mac Miller, who was featured on her debut single, The Way, was a big musical influence, helping the Grammy award-winning singer quote, “do the brave thing when it came to putting her music out for the world.” The Wicked star saying, “I’ve never said that, but he was a great influence. I’m very thankful for that. That’s also why I was so eager to ask him to be a part of it. Not only because he was perfect for the song, but I also felt like I had him to thank for finding my sound. Mac was featured heavily in Ari song, The Way, and worked alongside Ariana, producing several of her hit tracks. The two also dated for 2 years, ending their relationship amicably before Mac’s death in September 2018 at age 26. Ari’s love for Mac has always been present in her music.       You can tell she misses him so much. Grief is so tough. I think she's been trying to not speak about him for years. Probably hasn't even started to deal with the grief. Ending a relationship due to addiction, running to someone else to escape the chaos of it after trying again and again for them to stop only to hear they OD. The pain is unimaginable. The guilt, the agony, the what ifs, I really empathise. I have gone through it myself and wouldn't wish it on anyone

      Ari knows grief too well. I'm glad she has found Cynthia on her journey to happiness. I feel like, Cynthia was meant to heal her so that she could be emotionally prepared for her actual forever person. She deserves a healthy partnership to feel safe in if or when she's ready. 🩷

Madness in exchange for knowledge and power. That spirit for their stardom they expirenced requires blood. I guess mac choose to spill his own instead of giving up someone he loved
