Taylor Swift & Ariana Grande Hate Their Fandom Names?!
If you are a Swifty, you probably must have noticed how Taylor Swift almost always avoids saying the fandom name Swifty when referring to fans. And when I was reading articles where it’s like medical professionals are diagnosing several um you know, all these fans who came to the Arrows Tour with like postcon amnesia. Well, Taylor isn’t the only celebrity out there who doesn’t really like the name their fans call them. Ariana Grande has expressed multiple times that she despises her fandom name, Arianaters, and straight up doesn’t claim it. No, no, no, no. We There’s a debate over this cuz someone made that up. We don’t really claim it. They don’t They don’t really claim it.

We're not arianators we're tiny elephants x
dang i just realised people probably think the “swifty” in most of my users means i’m a taylor swift fan but my last name is just swift too lol
I don't believe Taylor has EVER said she didn't like the name "Swifties". I believe she says it when speaking directly to a "Swifties". Not everyone who went to an ERAS tour concert was a Swiftie. In interviews Taylor has said, "she finds it cute and embraces the term, even having her team trademark it, viewing the fandom as a close-knit group and revolutionizing fan-artist relationships by fostering deep engagement. While some fans debate what exactly constitutes a "Swiftie," Taylor herself celebrates the self-coined name and actively interacts with them." I did research about the post concert amnesia. I found this " fans experienced "post-concert amnesia," a normal brain response to sensory overload, extreme excitement, and emotional immersion at the Eras Tour, where the brain prioritizes the moment over memory formation, leading to memory gaps, not trauma, as explained by psychologists and neurologists.".
Sensory Overload: Huge crowds, loud music, lights, and pyrotechnics overwhelm the brain's processing capacity.
Emotional Heightening: Intense joy and excitement trigger chemicals that interfere with short-term memory transferring to long-term storage.
"Fight or Flight": High adrenaline can focus the brain on the present experience rather than documenting it.
Fans report feeling like they were "in a lavender haze," losing specific memories of the show despite being present.
It's described as a "neurologic phenomenon," not a medical disorder, where the brain was too busy experiencing the moment to record it fully.
In essence: Your brain was having so much fun and processing so much stimuli that it prioritized the experience, leaving fewer resources for memory storage, which is a positive sign of a deeply immersive event, not a trauma.
And then there is BTS with "Got ARMY righy behind us when we say so" in their butter mv 😂💜
It actually feels adorable when artists actually acknowledge the fans that appreciate them so much.
❤I'm a big Swiftie now❤😊
Okay at the end it is choice… 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻😊😊😊😃😃😃
She said she liked it…
Well, I’m proud to be an ARMY🎀 bts doesn’t even refer to us as fans😭 we r always “army”
No tay tay said in an interview how much she likes it and I’m pretty sure she said it a couple times
I feel calling fans is More inclusive.
Not Katy Perry calling her fans Katycats every time she gets the chance to even calling them RATS😭💀, Katyrats
Doja Cat:
This is such bullshit, Taylor has openly expressed that she loves the fandom name
I love how Ariana started rapping 😂😂
What about sweeteners…?
I think as an arianator we left that name back in 2024 after eternal sunshine came out and now i would like to call myself a sunshine instead of an arianator.
So whats the word for a fan or aris music?
Fine, lets not do arianators and just do 'The Grandes'
ariana should come up with a new name for us. something she loves that we can all call ourselves
Benedict Cumberbatch has been through it with names. I feel like everyone else just deals with it. He has to live with the knowledge of what his fans choose to call themselves, happily! And that they change it happily to other more insane things!
taylor loves the name swiftieseeess
Instead of Arianators, Ariana should do Grandeiras as most of her fans are girls, and Grandeira sounds feminine, and guys should still be called Arianators.
Thing is Tay literally said it’s cute and she trademarked the word last year
