The Gist
Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie have been put squarely in the middle of their parents on one side and the royal family on the other.
Endless drama seems to have stemmed from Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson’s latest scandals surrounding their respective association with Jeffrey Epstein.
The sisters are reportedly “under pressure” to decide where they will spend Christmas, as their parents have not been invited to the royal family’s Christmas celebrations at Sandringham.
Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie have had a difficult season with the seemingly endless fallout surrounding their parents Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson—and the sisters are about to have to make a difficult decision on where to spend their Christmas holiday.

Ten days out from December 25, Beatrice and Eugenie are faced with a dilemma: their parents, the former Duke and Duchess of York, have not been invited to celebrate Christmas with the royal family at Sandringham, where they spend the holiday annually. But Beatrice and Eugenie—who will retain their princess titles even after their father was stripped of his princely title by King Charles in October—have been invited, and therein lies the conundrum. Do they spend Christmas with their parents in royal exile, or join the rest of the royal family at Sandringham?
The Daily Mail refers to the decision as a “tug-of-love” dilemma, with the outlet reporting that “the sisters are being pulled in different directions by their family’s competing demands.”

Sources told the outlet that “the situation has become a logistical and emotional nightmare” for Beatrice and Eugenie, as they both “remain loyal to the King and to the institution” but are also “equally devoted to their parents.”
Both Andrew and Ferguson attended the December 12 christening of Beatrice’s youngest daughter, Athena, at the Chapel Royal in St. James’s Palace—thought to be the first time the former couple had stepped into a palace since the latest brouhaha began in October. Beatrice hosted an afterparty of sorts at a nearby pub, but her parents weren’t in attendance for the celebration.
Beatrice in particular is feeling “under pressure” as she feels she “has to be in three places at once” on Christmas Day, a source told the publication, which added that staying at her new Cotswolds home with her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, and their children and Ferguson “is thought to be her preferred option.”

“At the same time, she naturally feels diplomatically obliged to be seen with the rest of the royals at the King’s Norfolk estate,” The Daily Mail reported. She also reportedly feels compelled to spend one last Christmas at Royal Lodge with her father, before he moves to the Sandringham estate in the new year.
“Unless she makes a decision to pick one side and one side only, she will spend a lot of time in the car,” the insider said. “Overall, it falls to the princesses to sooth family divisions. They are struggling with Christmas.”

Eugenie, who lives in Portugal, is said to feel slightly less conflicted, according to The Daily Mail. “Eugenie was tempted to stay in Portugal with her family and husband Jack Brooksbank,” the source added. “She is so settled there, far from all the drama.”
