Timothy Shalamé loves a twinning moment. At the New York premiere of Marty Supreme on December 16th, [music] the 29-year-old actor hit the red carpet with his mother Nicole in coordinating orange outfits. [music] The Marty Supreme star rocked a double- breasted neon orange suit with a coordinating fringe scarf, which paired perfectly with his mother’s neon [music] orange halterneck gown. The matching moment came one week after Timothy and girlfriend Kylie Jenner coordinated outfits for [music] a rare red carpet appearance at the film’s LA premiere. At the December 9th event, the actor wore a bright orange leather suit with matching silk shirt [music] and boots. Kylie perfectly complimented his outfit in her floorlength orange gown and matching orange pumps. While the couple first sparked dating reports in the spring of 2023, this is only the second time the Kylie Cosmetics founder has accompanied her bow on the red carpet. In May, the couple made their red carpet debut in Rome at the 70th [music] David Donatello Awards where Timothy received the David for Cinematic Excellence Honor. At that [music] event, the pair also colorcoordinated their looks with Timothy dawning a black velvet suit to match [music] Kylie’s black scaparelli dress. The vibrant orange hue has become the signature color of the Marty Supreme press tour as it directly references a plot point in [music] the movie. In the film, Timothy’s character, pro table tennis player Marty Mouser, swaps his white ping-pong [music] balls with orange ones for greater visibility. It seems Timothy was fully on board with the bit, wearing the color for most screenings and press stops. In a now viral fake marketing video shared by A24, the actor made a passionate pitch to adopt the flashy color as the film’s calling card, referencing the success of the Barbie pink that saturated pop culture ahead of that movie’s 2023 premiere. >> And when you think Barbie, what do you think? [music] The video continues with Timothy making increasingly over-the-top suggestions for ways to promote the color, including painting the Statue of Liberty and the Eiffel Tower bright orange. >> You could have people arriving to New York, whether it’s for tourism out of dire need, and then you see the Statue of Liberty and it represents everything it’s always represented.
