Jason Kelce Addresses Role in Travis Kelce & Taylor Swift's Wedding

Jason Kelce is ready to raise a toast to Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift—if the opportunity presents itself.

The former Philadelphia Eagles center addressed his potential involvement in his brother’s upcoming wedding to the “Fate of Ophelia” singer, though he played coy when asked whether he was preparing to give a best man speech.

“Time will tell if there is one or anything like that,” he said during a Dec. 19 appearance on Good Morning America. “I’ve been given no details on that front, but however I’m involved, I’ll be happy to be.”

The 37-year-old added, “I’m just happy for those two.”

Jason previously spoke about the part he hopes to play in the couple’s nuptials, admitting that he’s eager to stand by his brother’s side on the big day.

“Hopefully I’m the best man,” he said on the Bussin’ With The Boys podcast in September. “We’ll see. Trav has a lot of friends. I’m hoping to get the opportunity.”

“I love my brother, and I want him to have the most fulfilled, best life possible,” he continued, “and such a huge part of that is who you end up marrying, who you end up raising a family with.”

And as far as Jason is concerned, Travis, 36, couldn’t have found a more fitting partner.

“They are unbelievably supportive of each other, in both of their outlandishly successful worlds,” he raved. “I know the kind of person he is, and I’ve been blessed to get to know Taylor over the last couple years. And I think that they match so well together.”

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s love story began in July 2023, when the singer’s Eras Tour made a stop at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo.

As a huge Swiftie, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end caught the show with hopes of giving Taylor a friendship bracelet with his number on it. However, he failed to complete the pass due to her pre-show rituals.

“I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings,” Travis shared on the July 26 episode of his New Heights podcast. “So, I was a little butt-hurt I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her.”

Summer 2023: This Is Him Trying

After publicly recounting his fumble—a move Taylor would later describe as “metal as hell”—Travis decided to shoot his shot and invite the Grammy winner to watch the Chiefs play at Arrowhead Stadium.

“I threw it out there, I threw the ball in her court,” he shared on The Pat McAfee Show. “I told her, you know, ‘I’ve seen you rock the stage in Arrowhead, you might have to come see me rock the stage in Arrowhead and see which one’s a little more lit.’ So, we’ll see what happens in the near future.”
