It’s been quite the year for Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, the former Duke of York, and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, who was once the Duchess of York. Not only have they both lost titles, but the former couple has been ordered to move out of Royal Lodge, where the pair have lived together since 2008 (despite divorcing in 1996), owing to their association with convicted paedophile, Jeffrey Epstein.

As more images featuring both Andrew and Sarah are made public as part of the latest batch of ‘Epstein files’, it’s reported that Sarah has made a last ditch attempt to send an olive branch to senior figures in the royal family, perhaps the likes of the Prince and Princess of Wales and King Charles and Queen Camilla.

In a bid to separate herself from the disgraced former Prince, Sarah has been sending Christmas cards out and signing them solo. A source also told the Daily Mail that she has been including the line ‘I hope we’ll meet again’, too.

    Everyone’s clicking on…

“Those addressed to members of the Royal Family have been accompanied by a gushing personalised apology for her part in the fall of the House of York,” the source explained. “Including the desperate line: ‘I hope we’ll meet again’.”

It’s said that Sarah will shortly be moving to a ‘granny flat’ in Princess Beatrice’s mansion in Oxford, after moving away from previous plans to relocate to Portugal with her other daughter, Princess Eugenie.
