Bowen Yang confirmed his shocking midseason departure from ‘Saturday Night Live.’ The comedian, who’s been on the sketch comedy show for seven seasons, took to social media Dec. 20 before his final show at Studio 8H to share the news that he’s leaving. Bowen wrote, “I loved working at ‘SNL,’ and most of all I loved the people. I was there at a time when many things in the world started to seem futile, but working at 30 Rock taught me the value in showing up anyway when people make it worthwhile.” The 35-year-old’s shocking exit from ‘SNL’ follows a slew of departures following the show’s 50th season, including those from former cast mates Ego Nwodim, Heidi Gardner, Michael Longfellow, Devon Walker and Emil Wakim.
