Bruce Willis’ genes run deep.
The Die Hard actor became a grandfather in 2023 when his daughter Rumer Willis gave birth to her first child; a daughter she named Louetta—Lou for short.
“He is happy about becoming a grandpa. He loves having a big family. They are all spending Christmas together,” a source told People magazine in 2022. “Bruce is enjoying not working and having more family time. He likes being around his girls more.”
Since Bruce was diagnosed with Frontotemporal dementia, his life as a grandfather looks a little different. However, whenever Rumer shares pictures of her daughter, fans are quick to notice that Lou has some similar features as her famous granddad, including his iconic smile.
“Oooh. I see her grandpa in there a little!!!” one person wrote.
“100%!! That smile is the same as her Grandpa! Beautiful family,” someone else said.
“So beautiful she looks like your dad,” a third comment read.
“DNA Lives on and on,” a fourth Instagram user added.
In 2024, Rumer shared an update on her dad’s relationship with Lou.
“Lou is just starting to walk a little bit and she was walking over to [Bruce] and it was so sweet,” Rumer said on Today. “It’s so nice because I feel like my dad is just, he’s a girl dad through and through. It almost unlocks that kind of little kid, girl dad thing. He’s so sweet with her.”
There’s no cure for Bruce’s condition, which changes from time to time. Earlier this year, his wife, Emma Heming Willis, shared that she’s moved him into a facility where he can receive proper care.
