Day 1: The Duke of Kent
Day 2: The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester
She’s always one of the hardest working members of the royal family, and this year was no different. Well, in a way it was different from 2024 because it was a return to normal. Last year, she suffered a serious concussion after being hit by a horse while out for a walk at her country home of Gatcombe Parke. She spent nearly a week in the hospital, including a stint in the intensive care unit. It took her a while to slowly, carefully return to work. In addition, her big brother, King Charles III, had to drastically reduce his schedule after having surgery and then starting cancer treatments.
Last year, Princess Anne did 433 engagements, 80 more than Charles, who still ended up in second place. This year, she picked up her pace — doing 10 percent more than in 2024 — yet still couldn’t come close to her determined brother. She finished the year with 478 engagements, compared to 533 for the monarch.

She worked harder than she did in every year going back to 2019, when she did 486 engagements. And she’s well above her recent average of 439 a year (though that includes the pandemic years).
