After missing Christmas at Sandringham last year and Kate Middleton’s Christmas carol service earlier this month, Princess Eugenie has made a public appearance with the royal family despite the fall from grace of her father, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.

Princess Eugenie walked to church at St. Mary Magdalene, near the royal family’s Sandringham Estate, alongside her husband Jack Brooksbank. Their two sons August, 4, and Ernest, 2, did not join their parents. For the holiday, Princess Eugenie wore a festive green and pink check wool cape coat from Byan that features velvet trim on the three-quarter length sleeves. She accessorized with a coordinating burgundy fascinator and delicate drop earrings.

Plaid was clearly the style memo for Christmas this year; her sister, Princess Beatrice, and the Princess of Wales also chose to wear the pattern.

Beatrice and Eugenie’s parents, Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, were uninvited from Christmas at Sandringham, but it’s clear the sisters are still part of the royal fold. Despite her father losing his royal titles, Eugenie still has her title of “Princess” and King Charles has public supported her. Charles “is fond of his nieces and doesn’t want them to suffer because of their father’s downfall,” sources close to the King previously shared.
