Kate Middleton’s true feelings about Prince Harry have been revealed by a close friend, saying she is focusing on looking after her family. This comes as the Prince and Princess of Wales look to make a fresh start in their new home with their three children.
Kate has had her fair share of struggles over the past couple of years, including her battle with cancer. Along with the public scandals and bitter digs in the media that have hit the Royal Family, it is no wonder that William and Kate are looking for peace in their “forever home”.
The couple – along with their children Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, seven – moved into the Forest Lodge in November 2025. Located in the vast grounds of Great Windsor park, the mansion is worth a whopping £16million.
Their new home is also located near the Royal Lodge, where disgraced Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor currently resides until he is forced to move to the Sandringham Estate. On top of this, the house is also near the now vacated Frogmore Cottage, reports the Mirror.
The cottage was initially gifted to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle by the late Queen Elizabeth II in 2018 when they were married. However, since the couple have moved to the states, the lodgings have been taken away from them.

However, if things had gone differently, the two families may have been able to reconcile their differences as they would have lived in the same area. In reality, tensions between the brothers are still high as they are still not in contact.
While this rift continues, a friend of Kate has shared that the mum-of-three has chosen to solely focus on raising her family as “life is too short” for other matters.
The source told The Times: “After repeatedly taking aim at his brother and sister-in-law, it’s hardly surprising that William and Kate would rather focus on raising their own family.
“There was a sense of weary inevitability in William’s camp when Harry decided to announce a trip to Canada for ‘remembrancetide’ at the start of his brother’s official visit to Brazil.
“If Kate has learnt anything from her cancer ordeal and the teachings of Robert Waldinger, however, she’ll know that life’s far too short to get hung up on Harry.”
Currently there have been no signs that either Harry or William and Kate have tried to reconcile. Instead, it is believed that the couple are still reeling from Harry’s past wrongdoings as they did not publicly acknowledge his 41st birthday back in September.
Royal expert Duncan Larcombe said: “Kate’s silence spoke a thousand words. They didn’t post anything on his birthday, which the royals normally would do. So Kate’s message was loud and clear: the ball’s not in our court, Harry – it’s in yours.”
Duncan also explained that the couple are only able to make their feelings known through subtle signs due to strict royal protocol. In this instance, it seems the silence is doing most of the talking.
The expert added: “Neither Kate, nor William, can speak out publicly about Harry and Meghan. They have kept silent throughout all of this and rolled with all the punches, so they’re forced into subtle, secret messaging – which is what this seems to be.
“They’re not prepared to call Harry’s bluff by sending him joyful birthday wishes, so they remain silent and avoid him at all costs.”
