Safe House, a thriller from last year starring the MCU’s Hannah John-Kamen (Ant-Man and the Wasp, Thunderbolts* Avengers: Doomsday) has just landed on its first UK streaming subscription service.

Also starring Emily in Paris’ Lucien Laviscount, Shadow and Bone’s Lewis Tan and Mindhunter’s Holt McCallany, the film follows six federal agents hiding out in the titular high-security safe house after a terrorist attack.

However, paranoia soon sets in, and everyone begins to suspect that there is a traitor among them. But no one knows who it could be, and tensions begin to rise…

Already available to rent or buy digitally, the film is now available to stream with a Sky or NOW Cinema subscription.

You can get a month of NOW Cinema for £9.99, although new accounts may be offered a free trial, while existing accounts that aren’t currently subscribed might be offered a discounted rate.

The film went under the radar upon release, so there aren’t many reviews out there.

Site The Action Elite called the film “predictable at times but entertaining” and gave it three stars out of five.

“Safe House is the kind of movie I love where we don’t know who the real villains are or who to trust,” the review reads. “This keeps things tense and there is plenty of action with Lewis Tan once again proving he deserves to be one of the next big action stars.”

Flick Feast praised the “intense, fast, brutal and well-choreographed” action in its own three out of five star review.

The review added: “To its credit, the film keeps its cards close to its chest. Dishing out multiple Macguffins, red herrings, double and triple bluffs, to keep the audience guessing until the final reveal, which contains a timely denouement.”

Safe House can be streamed via a Sky or NOW Cinema subscription.
