The actress, who is up for Best Actress in a Comedy Series for her role in Nobody Wants This, walked the red carpet solo at the Barker Hangar in Los Angeles.

Arriving without her husband Dax Shepard by her side, she turned heads in a black gown with bold lace cutouts throughout. As for beauty, she paired the slinky look with a chic high ponytail, large diamond earrings, and natural glam.

Bell reprised her role as brash podcaster Joanne in season two of Netflix’s hit rom-com show Nobody Wants This this year. While the first season saw her character falling in love with Adam Brody’s Noah, a young rabbi, season two saw the unlikely pair navigating the ups and downs of a new relationship.
Although Bell and Brody have buckets on onscreen chemistry, and even went viral for their first kiss scene, Bell previously joked that in real life, there is no chemistry between them. “Dax also knows there’s no real threat there, because Adam and I, if you were to see us in person, there is not chemistry,” she said to E! News. “We bicker all the time.”
She added, “We’re like an old granny and grampy. It’s not hot and heavy on set at all.”

Although Bell’s Critics Choice Awards look may not have been Joanne-coded, Bell has worn a few looks that instantly recall her iconic character. Just a couple of months ago, she wore black trousers with a chocolate brown turtleneck with fur-trimmed cuffs.
